“The Fox and the Grapes” is an interactive book designed to be a modern adaptation of Aesop’s classic Fable, retaining its educational value, as well as being entertaining.
A fox strolling through an orchard found some delicious ripe grapes hanging high on a vine. Enticed by the morsel he tried to reach them, but was unable to, although he leaped with all his strength. As he went away, the fox remarked scornfully that they are sour.
The accompanying moral of the story “You shouldn’t despise what you cannot get” will teach children that people who speak disparagingly of things that they cannot attain would do well to apply this story to themselves.
The interactive part of the story will also teach the child to see past the fox’s scorn and encourage him to empathise with the fox to act as a guide to a happy ending.
This way, the child will see past others’ shortcomings and negative emotions and approach them in a constructive manner.
The app also features a concentration and memory game - it helps improve short term memory, attention to detail, dexterity and the ability to focus on a task.
